The 78th Emmy Awards aired live on September 14, 2026, but anyone who missed the ceremony can still watch the 2026 Emmy Awards without cable.
The simplest option now is Peacock, which lists the full ceremony as available on demand. Mariska Hargitay hosted the show from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles after winning two Emmys earlier in September for her documentary My Mom Jayne: A Film by Mariska Hargitay.
The ceremony originally aired live coast-to-coast on NBC and streamed simultaneously on Peacock at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, according to the Television Academy.

Where to Watch the 2026 Emmy Awards Replay
The full 78th Emmy Awards ceremony is currently available on Peacock.
Peacock's Emmy page lists two plans that include the event:
Peacock Premium: $12.99 per month or $129.99 per year.
Peacock Premium Plus: $19.99 per month or $199.99 per year.
Premium includes ads and access to Peacock's live events, movies, originals, and broader streaming library.
Premium Plus removes most ads, although Peacock notes that some programming can still include advertising, and it adds downloads for supported content.
Peacock also sells a cheaper Select tier, but its own Emmy page directs viewers toward Premium and Premium Plus rather than Select.
If the Emmys are the only thing you want to watch, Premium is the cheaper of the two options currently presented for the ceremony.

Watching the replay takes only a few steps:
Open the Peacock app or visit the 78th Emmy Awards page.
Sign in with an existing account or create one.
Choose an eligible Peacock plan if you aren't already subscribed.
Open The 78th Annual Emmy Awards.
Start the on-demand stream.
Peacock supports phones, tablets, browsers, smart TVs, streaming sticks, and other common streaming devices.
If you already subscribe, check the service before paying for anything else. There's no reason to sign up for a separate live-TV bundle just to watch a ceremony that's already available on demand.
What Happened to the Live NBC Options?
On September 14, the Emmys aired live on NBC and Peacock at the same time.
That meant cord-cutters could also watch through services carrying their local NBC station, including providers such as Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, YouTube TV, and DirecTV.
Those routes made sense before and during the live broadcast.
They aren't the most practical options now.

Peacock Pricing Changed Before the Emmys
One number worth correcting from earlier Emmy streaming guides is Peacock's price.
Peacock raised its subscription rates on August 18, 2026.
Current monthly pricing is:

Premium: $12.99
Premium Plus: $19.99
Annual pricing is $89.99, $129.99, and $199.99 respectively.
That means earlier guides quoting Peacock Premium at $10.99 per month were already outdated by the time the September 14 Emmy broadcast arrived.
For the Emmys specifically, Peacock's current event page presents Premium and Premium Plus as the streaming options.
Can You Watch Peacock Through Walmart+?
There is another route for people who already have Walmart+.
Peacock says US Walmart+ members can choose Peacock Premium as a streaming benefit at no additional cost.
Walmart+ members can also upgrade that benefit to Premium Plus for an additional monthly fee.
If you're already paying for Walmart+, check the streaming benefit attached to the account before buying Peacock separately.
That makes more sense than starting another standalone subscription for the same service.
Who Hosted the 2026 Emmy Awards?
Mariska Hargitay hosted the 78th Emmy Awards.
It was her first time hosting the main Emmy telecast.
She arrived at the ceremony with two new Emmy wins from the Creative Arts ceremonies earlier that month.
The Television Academy lists My Mom Jayne: A Film by Mariska Hargitay as the winner for:
Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special.
Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program.
Those brought Hargitay's career Emmy total to three.
Where to Watch Creative Arts Emmy Coverage
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards were held over two nights on September 5 and 6.
The Television Academy combined those ceremonies into an edited broadcast that aired on FXX on September 12, with streaming on Hulu beginning the following day.
That program is separate from the September 14 Primetime Emmy ceremony available on Peacock.
Anyone specifically looking for technical, documentary, reality, guest-acting, and other Creative Arts categories should therefore look for The 78th Emmy Awards (Creative Arts) rather than the main Peacock telecast.
Where to Find Backstage and Additional Emmy Coverage
The Television Academy also produced Backstage LIVE! during the September 14 ceremony.
The second-screen coverage included backstage interviews, winner reactions, the Thank You Cam, press-room footage, and other material around the broadcast.
The Academy's official Emmy viewing page directs viewers to Emmys.com and its official YouTube channel for that coverage.
Those sources are also useful if you don't need the entire awards show and only want individual acceptance speeches, interviews, or clips from specific categories.
Watching the 2026 Emmys Outside the US
The US Peacock instructions don't automatically apply internationally.
For the live ceremony, the Television Academy used different broadcast partners around the world, including CTV and Crave in Canada and HITS NOW in several Asian markets.
Replay availability depends on the broadcaster and country.
The Academy maintains a country-by-country viewing list that is a better starting point than trying to use a US streaming subscription in a market where it isn't offered.
